Fachdidaktik Musik: Wissenschaft oder Praxis?
Main Article Content
Abstract
The development of subject didactics into an academic discipline has led to an intensification of the academic discourse in the field of music, parallel to the founding of the Swiss Association for Music Didactics (vfdm.ch) in 2016. It is characterised by a tension between the claim to scientificity, the proximity to normativity and the broad field of practical know-how. The authors conceptualise the various fields of subject didactics as a “circular model of music didactics” around the concepts of knowledge and know-how, and present it for discussion. They see the model as a plea for a productive exchange within the community on the various concerns inherent in subjectspecific didactics. The model is first located in the discourse of the profession and at the institutional level, and then related to current local positions on the concept of subject didactics.
